As a Portland-based company, Saltire Software is glad to take part in the 65th Annual Northwest Math Conference, October 9 to 10, 2026. We look forward to meeting mathematics educators, and anyone interested in how technology, including generative AI, can support meaningful classroom learning.
Find us at Booth #217
Stop by for live demonstrations of Geometry Expressions and GenerativeGX (GenGX). GenGX is a free, browser-based tool that turns plain-English descriptions into exact, interactive geometric figures, complete with symbolic and numeric measurements. Instead of a static image, it creates a figure students and teachers can explore, modify, and keep working with in GXWeb.
We will also demonstrate Geometry Expressions, our constraint-based symbolic geometry system for mathematical modeling, exploration, and classroom instruction.
A session with Kavi Wilson
Saltire’s Kavi Wilson is presenting Understanding Generative AI Through Geometry on Friday, October 9, from 9:15 to 10:30 a.m. in the Flanders Room. Kavi looks at how generative AI, and large language models in particular, work from first principles, then moves into a live GenGX demonstration.
Geometry provides a concrete example to explore. A generated answer may sound convincing, but a geometric construction has defined relationships and constraints, something to examine, question, test, and refine.
At the booth, you can
- Try GenGX with your own plain-English geometry prompt
- Explore and modify interactive figures
- See Geometry Expressions in action
- Talk through ways to bring geometry technology into the classroom
- Ask about the mathematics behind generative AI
CoreGX on Hugging Face
In addition to our conference activities, we're expanding public access to CoreGX through two new Hugging Face Spaces designed for educators, students, developers, and engineers.
Cam Studio
Explore four common cam-follower mechanisms, generate cam profiles, visualize follower motion, and export SVG, DXF, or CoreGX source files for engineering workflows.
Triangle Studio
Experiment with natural-language geometry and classical constructions. Generate precise geometric models, inspect the underlying CoreGX program, and export SVG or DXF files for further exploration.
Both Spaces are designed to showcase how CoreGX powers applications ranging from classroom geometry and mathematical exploration to advanced engineering and mechanism design.

The conference takes place October 9 to 10 at the Holiday Inn Portland-Columbia Riverfront in Portland, Oregon. We hope to see you there.
